Hawarden is approximately an hour's drive from Christchurch and is located 10km inland from Waikari on the Hawarden Waikari Rd when approaching from the South. From the North travel approx 18km South from Culverden taking the 2nd turnoff to the right from the Hurunui Hotel into Waikari Hurunui Rd. Both roads will lead to the roundabout on High Street which leads into Horsley Down Road. 700m down that road is located the golf course. Taking the Medbury Rd turnoff (1st on the right past the Hurunui Hotel) will also lead to the course before passing through Hawarden township
